Emily + Jim - Rutledge Farm Wedding - White Hall, Maryland

As most everyone in the wedding industry knows, this is the year of making plans and remaking plans and going with the flow in terms of wedding planning — Emily and Jim were no exception.

They had originally planned to get married in Italy!! How amazing is that!! As you can imagine their plans had to drastically change and they were excited to then have their wedding at one of their favorite restaurants in Baltimore - the gorgeous Bar Vasquez. Once limits were put on the restaurants in Baltimore City — plans had to change once again to them having the full wedding on Emily’s parents farm… to then finding out they could have the reception portion at Bar Vasquez. THEN just 4 days before their wedding date they found out that indoor dining in the city was closed and they had to look for a plan number FIVE!

All along Emily was looking at the big picture — she was getting to marry her best friend, regardless of the location and plans — in the end she and Jim would be husband and wife and that was all that mattered. The final plan came together two days before their big day — the amazing people at Bar Vasquez took it upon themselves to locate a local winery who would host the reception at their outdoor venue. Bar Vasquez would take care of the catering there….and it was amazing! The family behind Basignani Winery graciously welcomed Emily, Jim and all of their family and friends to their gorgeous location in Sparks, Maryland.

The day couldn’t have turned out more perfect — yes, not all of their close family and friends could make it but they were able to watch via zoom and even had a champagne and Georgetown Cupcake toast with the couple after their ceremony. The weather was amazing, the setting was perfect and also meant so much to the couple as it was where Emily grew up and held so many memories.

The love was felt all day long and everyone was thrilled to celebrate the marriage of Emily and Jim and forget a little about the craziness of todays world. Emily and Jim — thanks for the escape and trusting me with capturing the memories of one of the most important days in your life. Congratulations you did it!! :)

As always I had the pleasure with working with Emily and Jim’s amazing vendors!!

Brooke + Mike - Pond View Farms Wedding

We had such an amazing day documenting Brooke and Mike’s wedding at Pond View Farm, soaking up the perfect summer weather and the most touching moments between these two childhood sweethearts!

Brooke and Mike surrounded themselves with loved ones, and everyone from the bridal party to the guests felt like one big family. There were so many kids running and laughing, a beautiful flower girl, and a ring bearer that took ring security serious. Be sure to check out his security props below! Brooke was simply radiant and Mike was so sweet with her throughout the day. Their first dance was truly heartwarming, and all of their dances were so special that they had one of us tearing up the whole time! (It was Jen…she’s totally the crier!)

The biggest surprise for the guests came during the reception when the Shoe Game was played. If you’ve never heard of the Shoe Game before, here’s how it works: the couple sits in two chairs placed back-to-back on the dance floor, removes both of their shoes, and then trades a shoe with their new spouse so that they are holding one of each. Then a series of questions are asked, and after each question, the bride and groom each hold up the shoe of the person they think is the best answer to the question. This game is always a blast, but when DJ Jenny Z asked the question, “Who is having a baby in March?” the guests went wild! Catching the moment where Brooke and Mike got to both hold up their shoes for the announcement and then turn and look at each other was such an honor and a moment are thrilled we could capture for them!

To the Oneals - we wish you the absolute best and are so thankful that you asked us to be a part of this chapter of your love story.

Lindsey + George - Stone Ridge Hollow Wedding

There is really nothing better than having the opportunity to work with the same clients throughout the milestones in their lives. We first got to meet during a session when baby George was born, had a fun engagement session with Lindsey and George, and even took their niece and nephews school photos. By the wedding day, we felt like the lucky ones who got to spend the day watching our friends get married!

There’s just something special about a summer wedding and Lindsey and George’s beautiful June day was no exception - the beautiful flowers and greenery, the flowy dresses, the gorgeous venue scenery and despite the sweltering heat, the bride looked FLAWLESS all day long! After a touching ceremony at their family church, St. Stephens Catholic Church, the celebration moved up the road to the amazing Stone Ridge Hollow! The barn and the surrounding ponds are already a showstopper, but it was all even more special with the little rustic decorative touches they added. There were chalkboard and wooden signs, an antique style cake plate and wooden cupcake stand, a marquee love sign that we seriously wanted to take home with us, and so much more!

Lindsey and George had a super sweet first dance that only got even better when baby George joined in! It was wonderful to see the family of three celebrate this extraordinary day and we can only hope we are there to see many more of their family memories in the future!
